What we check when we inspect a car

A used car in Kampala can look immaculate under showroom lights and still hide a repaired body, a rolled-back odometer or a gearbox on borrowed time. An inspection exists to remove that uncertainty before money changes hands.

Our inspection covers the exterior condition, the interior condition, the mechanical condition, the engine and drivetrain, the electrical systems, the vehicle history, the documentation, and any signs of previous repairs or damage.

Exterior and interior checks tell you how the car has been used and cared for. Panel fit, paint, glass, tyres, seats, trim and controls all leave evidence of the life a vehicle has had.

Mechanical, engine and drivetrain checks combine a cold start, a road test and a scan for fault codes. Electrical checks cover lighting, instruments, comfort systems and safety equipment.

History and documentation matter just as much. We look at the paperwork behind the car and at anything that suggests earlier repair or damage, because a clean mechanical result on a car with problem paperwork is of little use to a buyer.

The completed report is written up and shared with whoever commissioned the inspection.
